Tony Street

Tony Street is a leading Australasian strategist and consultant specializing in capital expenditure (capex) management. A chartered accountant with extensive experience in large-scale, high-level capex projects, he has worked across various capital-intensive industries. Notably, during his tenure at NZ Dairy Group, Tony evaluated over 4,000 capex proposals while managing large-scale industry amalgamations and expansions.

In 1997, Tony founded Capital Expenditure Consulting Ltd., helping both public and private sector clients optimize their capex systems. In 1998, he co-founded Capex Services Ltd., where he assisted 12 of New Zealand’s 23 public hospitals in navigating capital management challenges. With growing corporate demand for disciplined capex management, Tony and his team developed Capex Stratagio software in 2001, which remains a cutting-edge solution for medium to large enterprises.

Tony Street holds a Bachelor of Management Studies (4 year) degree from Waikato University with a business finance major. A qualified and formerly practicing accountant, he has been a past CA member of the ANZ Institute of Chartered Accountants for many years.

He is also a past ANZIM member of the New Zealand Institute of Management, and is a former member of the NZ Institute of Directors.

Jeff Jackson

Jeff Jackson has served as Chief Executive of four major agribusiness organizations in New Zealand, including NZ Dairy Company, Affco (NZ) Ltd, Fletcher Fishing, and the New Zealand Wool Board. He also held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Via Lactia Bio Sciences. With extensive experience as a company director in industries such as IT, energy, fertilizer, textiles, and food, Jeff now focuses on enhancing business performance through organizational capability and decision-making.

In 2003, Jeff co-founded Solution Matrix Pacific Ltd with Dr. Marty Schmidt in Boston, USA, to help clients in Australia and New Zealand develop effective business case processes. For the past three years, he has worked with Tony Street to develop a software module for compiling business cases with strategic drivers, now part of the Stratagio software. This tool enables decision-makers to assess business scenarios more objectively, considering impacts on processes, customer service, resources, and value proposition alignment.

Jeff Jackson holds an AMP qualification from Harvard University in the US. Jeff has formerly held CA and CMA credentials as a qualified and formerly practicing accountant and has been a past member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of NZ and Australia for more than 25 years. Jeff is also a former FNZIM member of the NZ Institute of Management.

Peter MacKay

Peter Mackay has over 25 years of experience in capital projects within capital-intensive industries, particularly in the New Zealand dairy sector. He has held senior executive roles, including Senior Executive of Operations and General Manager of a Waikato-based coal mining subsidiary of New Zealand Dairy Group. Peter has also served as Regional Manager of Horticulture New Zealand and Manufacturing Manager/Director at Triodent, one of NZ’s fastest-growing exporters.

In 1998, Peter co-founded Capex® Services Ltd with Tony Street to support the public health sector in capital expenditure management. They consulted for 12 public hospitals and a wide range of corporate clients. Their work led to the development of Capex® Stratagio software and an internet database for marketing industrial plant and equipment, which was the largest in Australasia at the time, pre-dating Ebay.

Peter has worked with clients across manufacturing, mining, forestry, and project management sectors, focusing on capital-intensive industries. Since the launch of Capex® Stratagio™ software years ago, he has played a pivotal role in understanding client needs and driving ongoing software enhancements.
